     Older children: if you have a young adult starting to take interest in Bird Watching then there are several starting binoculars that are not so expensive giving them the chance to know if there hobby is temporally or it will become something more permanent.  The purchase of a more expensive binocular can be an exciting moment for both the parents if they are also involved in the same hobby. Letting them either share in saving the money or working by doing extra shores might have a bigger significance in protecting the investment and making sure that after each and every use there steps to take to store the binocular.

    Compact Binoculars: There are great for small children because they are light in weight. They can starter binoculars for anyone not sure if they would like to pick-up bird watching hobby. Compact binoculars can be stored in glove compartments, purses, pockets and you get the idea. The idea is to keep them in several available places so when the opportunity arises and you need a quick look you have them; you really don't?  know when a bird will appear and it might appear when you least expect it. Driving from work to your home you might spot a bird that you wish you had your 7X 35 bird watching binoculars but then you reach into your glove compartment and take out that compact binocular and you are thankful you didn't miss it.
